Return of IEM Cologne 2021 ESL to LAN: Formats and Schedules

ESL Pro Tour brings forth The Ultimate CS:GO Competition in the form of IEM Cologne 2021. This year the master championship will be conducted in LAN format shifting from live audience tournament which is the biggest change done by ESL this year.

The Master Championship is the pinnacle of the CS:GO tournament which is held twice a year. To reach this stage the teams have to go through various levels of the tournament which are Challengers (regional level) and then Master Tournaments (national level).

The IEM Cologne 2021 is currently scheduled to take place from 6th July – 18th July and the total prize pool is $1,000,000. This year the teams will be competing at the Lanxess Arena, also known as the Cathedral of Counter-Strike. A total of 24 teams will be competing for this year’s IEM Cologne.

Prize Pool

  • 1st Place: $ 400,000 USD, 1,800 ESL Points, and 3,200 BLAST Points
  • 2nd Place: $ 180,000 USD, 1,400 ESL Points, and 1,600 BLAST Points
  • 3rd-4th Place: $ 80,000 USD, 1,100 ESL Points, and 1,000 BLAST Points
  • 5th-6th Place: $ 40,000 USD, 825 ESL Points, and 400 BLAST Points
  • 7th-8th Place: $ 24,000 USD, 575 ESL Points, and 200 BLAST Points
  • 9th-12th Place: $ 16,000 USD, and 325 ESL Points
  • 13th-16th Place: $ 10,000 USD, and 125 ESL Points
  • 17th-20th Place: $ 4,500 USD, and 60 ESL Points
