In the celebration of 20 years of Xbox, Xbox brings you the Xbox FanFest Halo 3 tournament for the month of July conducted in online mode. The tournament is scheduled from July 7 – August 1, 2021, and has a prize pool of $25,000. July will become a full-on action-packed month. The tournament is open to all the attendees of Xbox FanFest in the US and Canada with a Smash.gg registration code.
How to Play
- US, Canada, & Mexico only with a smash.gg registration code. All players must register for Xbox FanFest.
- At least 1 person per team is required to stream to Twitch with VODS enabled so we can spectate matches.
- Register on smash.gg with a teammate.
- You must individually select and add your teammate for each day you wish to compete. You can manage your registration at a later time to adjust your team or register for more days.
- Join the Xbox Plays Discord.
- Click the “Ladder” tab on the left side of the page and then “Find Match” to automatically find opponents to play and climb the ladder!
Formats
- 2 days of open matchmaking ladders each Friday and Saturday
- Weekly Qualifiers every Sunday in a double elimination bracket with the top 8 teams from Friday & Saturday each
- Series Finale on July 31st in a double elimination bracket featuring the top 16 teams of the month.
- Each day will feature a different set of maps and game types which players must download.
- There will also be an in-game playlist launching on July 7th – August 11th to allow players to practice.
